We live at Keepers Cottage, on The North Rhins, SW Scotland and because of its situation and the variety of wildlife that can be seen in and around the cottage, I decided to keep a wildlife diary. We also enjoy regular walks in beautiful Dumfries and Galloway and beyond which I also record here, with photos and few words.

The Big Freeze December 2009
Our lane, tractors getting through ok but hill at the end of the road treacherous!
A corner of our garden
From our garden
A hoody in the garden
Looking down our front path
Bloody farmers, lovely way to spoil the snow
Easter Island heads in the frost
The bad weather has brought in a lot of birds including Fieldfares, Redwings and Lapwings
