We arrived at Galloway House Gardens just when the weather started to clear. There is a good carpark here and the fee goes towards the upkeep of the gardens.
A Shaggy Ink Cap
After walking through the gardens you come out on the shores of Rigg Bay where there tested the Mulberry Harbours during WW2.
This cottage is for sale, we stayed here on our first visit in 1980 which is when we fell in love with the Dumfries & Galloway!
