A lovely autumnal day, so decided on a good walk at Knockman Wood.
Up the lane from the car park

Knockman Wood is well managed by Cree Valley Community Woodlands Trust & the Forestry Commission
There are plenty of information boards explaining about the wildlife and archaeology that can be found

There are some lovely old trees here…
..with plenty of nestboxes for the birds.

We stopped and watched a flock of noisy Long-tailed Tits passing through
Nuthatch, there was a few of these too

Treecreeper on fallen tree
Windswept Scots Pine
..and south towards Luce Bay
