Cairngarroch to Maryport–14th July 2012

Although the sun was shining it was a very blustery day.

We parked at the Cairngarroch Bay Picnic site and as the tide was going out we started on the beach.

We found this old metal plaque- it reads “VENTNOR NO. VI” anyone got any ideas? The only Ventnor I know is on the Isle of Wight where some of my relations come from.
