Old Edinburgh Road, Galloway Forest Park–7th July 2012

We started our walk to the west of Clatteringshaws in a small layby to walk up the remains of the Old Edinburgh Road.

Back to the car and carried on along the road to near Craigencallie. This is where I am doing the “Wider Countryside Butterfly Survey” thought it might be an idea today as so many butterflies and Day flying moths about

Well a few butterflies and moths seen this afternoon for the survey, but nothing like the numbers seen in the morning-oh well, thats surveys for you. All my records are sent to local wildlife recorders though (eventually!)
