A Week at RSPB Mersehead–2nd-10th November 2013
A very busy week as our son and his girlfriend were moving into one of the reserve cottages and we were staying in one of the holiday cottages whilst we spruced the place up.
View from Barnacle Cottage.
We did, however, manage a couple of walks around this beautiful RSPB reserve.
Entrance to the circular path around the reserve.
Sheltering from a heavy shower in one of the hides.
Sunset from Mersehead Beach
Roe deer in the gloom
Thousands of Barnacle Geese on the reserve at the moment, they came flying in every morning and woke us up!
Barnacle Cottage, this cottage can be rented throughout the year along with Shelduck Cottage, I would thoroughly recommend as they are very warm and comfortable!
Along the footpath to the shore
Looking back towards the cottages
Robin Rigg offshore windfarm
Driftwood Cottage for sale-a bit drafty!
The geese are coming!
The cottages in their beautiful setting
Coltness brick from Lanarkshire
Couldnt resist turning this one round!
Welcome to Mersehead!
