…shortly followed by a Willow Warbler!

We found a butterfly but this Orange Tip had expired!
We had a break by a small quarry and looked to see what was lurking in a small pool. You can just about make out this dragonfly larvae if you look closely

Next we travelled back down The Queens Way to Black Loch

Very nice photos. The only difinition of "stane" I can find is "stone." Is it also a unit of distance?
You are correct Dave in Scotland Stane means Stone. At each of the 7 Stane mountain bike trails there is a "stane" a stone sculpture.
