A cold damp but bright morning, we decided to walk a stretch of the Southern Upland Way that we hadn’t done before.
SUW Waymarker
Through the larch woods
Into the light
Wrapped up for the cold!
Glistening cobweb
Didn’t quite capture it, but these trees where sparkling in the sunlight
Mossy wall..
..and tree
Larch
This way..
Water of Cree
We stopped at the bridge..
..but didn’t go over
Tree on the edge
Large pine
Crossing the wet path under the fallen tree, this section was a bit wet!
Looking up
Birch Bracket fungi
Clavulina sp
Sign at Bargrennan
We then headed up the road…
…and across the fields, still following the SUW
Unfortunately our route got too boggy and difficult to follow, so we had to retrace our steps back to Bargrennan
Back through the forest but on a different track
Quite a good walk
apart from the boggy bit!
