For the final part of out East Lothian trip we decided to explore Dunbar.
A dull and cloudy Dunbar Harbour.
Kittiwake nests on every ledge of the wall at Dunbar Castle.

Rocks near harbour entrance

Looking out towards Bass Rock
Looking towards the town
Harbour through the archway

Injured Guillimot, couldnt reach it to rescue
Barnies flying over
A late Common Tern
Looks like it may have an injury too

…with carved crab…
….and lobster

John Muir Statue Dunbar town centre, his birthplace
After a walk through the town we returned to the harbour where the skies were now dark and the sun was out.
Lobster pots
Shame they buit the awful leisure centre behind the ruined castle!
We moved the car along the coast to Bellhaven Bay to eat our lunch.
Lovely views of the sun catching Bass Rock
The bridge over the burn on the beach
Very windy here
We followed the coast path back towards Dunbar
Great rock formations here
The sun made the sea look really green
Crumbling coastline
Red rocks
A Ruby Tiger Moth caterpillar was rolling over in the wind!
Shortly after this we had to make a hasty retreat back to the car as the heavens opened and there was a heavy squally shower!
We stopped on the way back at Aberlady to watch the geese return and the sun set but neither really happened!
