A cold blustery day with the threat of rain by the afternoon, so we set off early for a circular local walk.
Killantringan Bay
Killantringan Lighthouse
The cottages are currently for sale.
Portamaggie
Receding waves
Wrapped up for the cold wind
Stoat in partial ermine

Port Kale
Bit choppy!

Bridge over the Dunskey Burn
Spade!
Still plenty of snowdrops out on the Dunskey Estate.
Sadly this is when my camera went into its dry bag as it started to rain.
Plenty of frogspawn seen on our way back to Killantringan Bay

There is plenty of frogspawn round by Knockquassen as well, and plenty of frogs: http://duckhole.smugmug.com/Local/WhereWeLive/
Great photos Neil, do you live by Knockquassen?
Hi Valerie, my partner Liz and I moved in to Knockquhassen Farm at the beginning of December. We previously lived near Bristol. We are gradually knocking the land into shape for Liz's 3 horses.
Welcome Neil, thought that might be where you were from your photos and had seen it was for sale. Fanastic spot for photography. We moved up here to the N Rhins in 2006 and love it.
