A cold grey day so not very photographic!
Parked near Loch Maberry for a walk in Barloch Wood.
View across Loch Dornal
Forest track
Loch Maberry
River Bladnoch
Yet another silhouetted Crossbill, one day perhaps I will get a decent photo!
Hairy moss covered tree
A slight detour to the other side of the loch, not really worth it!
Toads in the path!
I think Loch Maberry is the source of the Bladnoch
Reflected reeds
Dog lichen Peltigera membranacea
Polbae
Plenty of frogspawn about
3 Roe Deer disappearing over the hill
Coltsfoot
Nearly back to the car and a view towards the Galloway Hills
I think we are parked in “no mans land” one way says Dumfries and Galloway….
…and the other Ayrshire!

Lovely pictures from a dull day Valerie.
You're right about Loch Maberry being the source of the Bladnoch. I've an unfinished four year old project 'Loch Mayberry to Wigtown - The River Bladnoch', One of these days I'll maybe put it together.
Been looking through some of your recent uploads. You've had a lot of footage waiting. Top marks for remembering it all.
