The weather wasn’t great , a bit showery and very wet underfoot so decided on a walk on a decent forest track. We drove down the Risk Road from Minnigaff to Auchinleck Bridge to park.
As we started our walk the sun came out and lit up the Galloway Hills.
A clump of damp moss clinging to a tree.
Interesting lichen
Abandoned cottage
Scots Pines and sun drenched hills
Lichen
…and more
Plenty of water tumbling down the hills
The winding path ahead
Another waterfall
more lichen
A bit disconcerting!
Shells often used as hardcore here a waste product of the shellfish industry.
