Garden Wildlife 22nd May 2009

A rainy start to the day

Then a beautiful rainbow against the dark sky

A warbler in the Leylandii

A toad under the currugated iron

Hawthorn in full bloom

New cows in the field are very curious

The hedgerow oposite is pink with campions

So pretty and often taken for granted, we have plenty in our garden

A lizard in the undergrowth coming out to warm up

Chilean Glry vine is great for bees

and so are Calendulas whether yellow...

...or orange

A newly emerged damselfly

Still rain droplets on the Alchemilla Mollis

A little bit of sunshine and the poached egg plants are looking bright, the bees love them too!

Campions

A lovely bluebell specimen

Lots more in the woods behind our cottage!

A well hidden chaffinch nest in the woods
