We hadn’t been to Kirkcudbright for some time so decided to visit to see the Arts & Crafts Trail, part of the Kirkcudbright Summer Festivities. The weather was awful with very heaver showers, but we decided to make the most of it, dodging in and out of the numerous venues. First stop was the Harbour Square where I had a lovely chat with Pauline aka Splashyartystory about her lovely childrens book Boo Where Are You. It was great to see the book and to meet Pauline as I had been following her for some time on Facebook and watching the progress of her book. She has inspired me to get drawing again and encouraged me to finish the childrens book that Pete and I started some time ago, so watch this space!
We met lots of lovely creative people throughout the day, selling some beautiful products. Unfortunately the day was just too short to see everything, so next year we will have to allow more time.
My camera stayed in its dry bag ,under my raincoat until about 4pm, when the rain finally stopped and the sun came out, so here is just a few shots taken at the end of a lovely day out!
